"Student Police Cadet Scheme" Schoolchildren will be taught Basic Policing

Bhopal 25 November, 2017.     Mr. Vipin Maheshwari, ADG (Provisioning) of Police, said that the Central Government has decided to start a student-cadet Scheme in all the states of the country. In Madhya Pradesh, this scheme will also be started in the coming session. Under Community Policing this scheme will be first introduced in seven districts of the state- Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Panna and Vidisha. 6-6 schools in these districts will be included. 50-50 children from each school will be included in this scheme. This will ensure the presence of at least 30 to 50 percent of the girls.

Shri Maheshwari said that the objective of this scheme is to make the youth who play an important role in nation building to make a better citizen so that they can discharge their social duties in a better way. In this scheme, schoolchildren will be given 2 years of training.
